Is a lawyer, performer and writer. Mark has his own law firm and runs a legal clinic called Barefoot Law. He is also company secretary at Enova Energy.
In a previous life, Mark was a senior executive with Barclays Bank at FIRSTPLUS and director of the UK regulatory body FISA. A director of Sydney Credit Union from 2008-11, Mark has a Masters in International and Community Development, with degrees in Arts and Law from Sydney University, where he won the JH McClemens Prize for Criminology.
Admitted in 1995, Mark was partner at Langes Lawyers until July 2006. He specialises in consumer credit, financial services and APRA prudential standards. He has expertise in commercial contracts and corporate governance. After graduation he worked on research projects with the AIDS Council of New South Wales and the University of Technology Sydney and co-made the program 'Sidevalving' for Radio National. Mark is a graduate of the NIDA Playwrights Studio. His play Water Falling Down premiered at the Queensland Theatre Company in Brisbane in 2011 and played at B Street Theatre in Sacramento in 2012. In 2015, he joined the Spaghetti board after having been chair at Legs On The Wall. Mark does regular radio spots on Bay FM in Byron Bay and ABC North Coast. He once appeared on Late Night Live and Philip Adams gave Mark a koala stamp. In recent years Mark has toured his one-man shows and been the MC of Dustyesky, the leading genuine faux Russian choir in the Southern Hemisphere. Mark was secretary at Eureka FC for 4 years, where he still plays. He also plays cricket for Bangalow Thirds and Eureka FC CC.
